Welcome to Edgecliff High School, an 11-18 Specialist Technology College of 650 students working at the heart of the local community situated in the beautiful rural location of Kinver in South Staffordshire.
Edgecliff High School was re-designated as a Specialist Technology College in September 2007 and this is reflected in the excellent ICT facilities and the newly refurbished Design and Technology area. There is a high specification computer for every five students in the School, with three specialist suites of 32 PCs, a dedicated Computer-Aided-Design area and further computers distributed throughout the School. Access to computers for independent study is available in the Learning Resource Centre and, for sixth formers, in the Sixth Form Centre.
The School's extra funding as a result of its specialist status, is being used to continue to improve the learning opportunities for students through the creative use of technology. This includes the development of a Learning Platform that will help staff and students to manage work assignments by providing access to tasks and resources from home. Over 90% of classrooms now have a networked computer with data projector and interactive whiteboard.
Edgecliff High School is ambitious for the educational achievement of all its learners whatever their interests and talents. We are a community of learners who are learning together.
