Welcome to Edgecliff High School’s website. We are located in the beautiful rural village setting of Kinver and serve a wide area also comprising the South Staffordshire villages of Stourton, Swindon, Bobbington and Trysull. Over recent years a substantial number of children have travelled in from the southern and western parts of Stourbridge including Norton, Wollaston, Wordsley and from Cookley in Worcestershire.  Kinver is also conveniently located for travel to and from Bridgnorth, Dudley and Kidderminster.

One of the clear strengths of Edgecliff is its culture of care and support and the quality of relationships between students and staff. The ethos is one of mutual respect and cooperation. There is a strong focus on examination performance and students are challenged to achieve more than they thought possible. Parents are informed of progress through regular reports and are invited to share more widely in the life and ongoing development of the School.

Edgecliff also has an exceptional range of extra-curricular activities, through involvement in sports teams, musical performances and a variety of lunchtime and after school clubs designed to engage and inspire students to pursue their own interests and develop their talents. There is also a house system to add a positive, competitive edge to many of the team activities that take place.

The students themselves are the best advertisement for the School and the staff are an experienced, committed and energetic team. Edgecliff is a vibrant and positive learning community striving to ensure that all involved with the School have the opportunity to be as successful as possible. Edgecliff is firmly committed to ensuring that achievement of all students is maximised through the successful personalisation of their learning.  Our simple message to students is that hard work and high aspirations make us successful.

If you are interested in finding out more about the School, please contact Clair Rivers-Boyden, Leadership Support Officer, to arrange a visit. I would be delighted to answer any questions you may have and to give you an opportunity to see the School.
